Ingredients:
- Beef – ½ kg (cut into pieces)
- Onion – 3 (finely chopped)
- Tomato – 2 (chopped into small pieces)
- Ginger-Garlic Paste – 1 ½ tablespoons
- Curry Leaves – 2 sprigs
- Coriander Powder – 1 ½ tablespoons
- Chilli Powder – 1 ½ tablespoons
- Garam Masala – 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric Powder – ½ teaspoon
- Fennel Powder – 1 teaspoon
- Black Pepper Powder – 1 teaspoon
- Grated Coconut – ½ cup
- Oil – 3 tablespoons
- Salt – as required
- Water – as required
Preparation Method:
- In a pressure cooker, add beef, turmeric powder, salt, ½ teaspoon chilli powder, ½ teaspoon black pepper powder, ½ teaspoon coriander powder, and 1 sprig of curry leaves. Add the required amount of water and cook for 3-4 whistles until the beef is tender.
- Once cooked, set the beef aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add curry leaves and chopped onions. Sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté well.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft. Then, add the remaining chilli powder, coriander powder, fennel powder, black pepper powder, and garam masala. Stir well and sauté on low heat.
- Add the cooked beef to the masala and mix well until it is fully coated with the spices.
- Add grated coconut and cook until the mixture thickens.
- Serve the beef roast hot with ghee rice, tapioca (kappa), chapati, or parotta!
